I love helping students who are struggling. I feel I have a unique gift for finding the right approach to each student's problem. I'm patient and supportive, but persistent.
I also believe I have a knack for teaching students how to approach the standardized tests like SAT, GED and ASVAB. I approach these as I would a game, and I have always been a very good game player. In fact I was a consultant to a company that developed and marketed games. Besides emphasizing the material that is most-often covered and the approach to multiple-choice questions, I teach some aspects of test preparation that are often ignored: physical conditioning, time management, and even nutrition.
I personally practice what I preach, participating in triathlons and eating a healthy diet.
HobbiesMy hobbies include fishing (I was a commercial fisherman for a while) and participating in running races and triathlons.
Since my daughter presented my wife and me with a grandson, he has been a primary interest. He is now 10 going on 16. I also play bridge, chess, stickball ..... basically any game of skill or chance.
