Experience
I received my Foreign Language Teaching master's degree from the University of New York, Oneonta. I have experience in the classroom, in both private and public schools. I worked at a preparatory bilingual school in Colombia. I have also worked in both Florida and New York public schools. While working, I have assisted the school and teachers as an interpreter between English and Spanish parents and teachers. I have also designed newsletters, organized community events, and helped create workshops for both parents and teachers. I have helped coordinate the school's Spanish club, as well. In 2013, I was asked to join a group of teachers to write the curriculum for foreign languages in the Pinellas School district. I have also had the opportunity to work with the Bennett Preparatory School, which has helped me gain experience in the cognitive development of children. While I help my students, I develop a good relationship with their family. I can help to explain the students behavior, as well as encourage ways to support them. I like to show the family the student's progress and what they are currently learning. I believe that in doing this, the student can easily achieve success in school, as well as better their life.
